The Golden 1 Center, Sacramento CA
Featured inside of the state-of-the-art Golden 1 Center sports arena and venue, this project was small but mighty in presence. A modern, industrial interior design paired with a high-touch feel aimed to appeal to both professional athletes (the Sacramento Kings) and Kaiser Permanente members from all walks of life. On a short timeline, Grigio met the design task by prioritizing the entry lobby space with a set of commissioned large sculptural wall pieces, adding local artist’s photography on contemporary aluminum panels to the hallways, and selecting contemporary fine art prints of slightly abstract marathon runners and cyclists in patient rooms. This project’s art package also nodded to the Downtown Commons MOB by featuring the same lobby artist.
